Have you ever wanted to experience what it would be like to ride down a step hill on a track in a bobsled? Well the closest thing to that is the jaw dropping Alpine Slide at the famous Chestnut Mountain Resort, located at 8700 West Chestnut Road in Galena, Illinois 61036.
Participating in the adventures of the Alpine Slide provide you with the opportunity to ride a little sled down a 2,050 feet tailored track on the back of ski hill to the banks of the Mississippi River.
After your ride, you get to use the resort's scenic mini ski lift which will whisks you back to the top where on a clear day, the three-state view is as much the attraction as the slide down.
If we have more then 20 guests interested in doing the Alpine Slide on Sunday September 16th 2012 after 10:00am then the cost is $6.00 per person. If there are less then 20 guests interested, then the cost is $8.00 per person.
If you are not interested in taking on the Alpine Slide, please do not feel bad as Christopher was weary of the mini ski lift the first time we did it so we completely understand you fear or early travel plans!
